1. Acceptance and Scope
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Beast, including the mobile app, paywall, widgets, notifications, support flows, and website at beast.varmada.com. By downloading, installing, accessing, purchasing, subscribing to, or using Beast, you agree to these Terms.
By using Beast, you are also subject to the Varmada Terms at varmada.com/tos and the Varmada Privacy Policy at varmada.com/privacy. These Beast Terms are supplemental to those Varmada policies and apply specifically to Beast. If these Terms are silent on an issue, the Varmada Terms apply. If there is a conflict, the Beast-specific terms apply to Beast app features unless the Varmada Terms or applicable law require otherwise.
2. The Beast Service
Beast is a motivational quote and discipline app. Features may include a quote feed, categories, saved quotes, daily oaths, streak tracking, reminders, notification scheduling, quote sharing/export tools, customization, app icons, lock-screen widgets, premium paywalls, and purchase restoration.
Features may vary by device, operating system, region, app version, subscription status, App Store availability, and platform limitations.
3. Eligibility
- You must be able to form a binding agreement or have permission from a parent or legal guardian.
- If you are under 13, you may use Beast only with parent or guardian permission.
- If you use Beast on behalf of another person or entity, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms for them.
- You are responsible for complying with all laws, platform rules, Apple App Store terms, and device policies that apply to your use of Beast.
4. License to Use Beast
Subject to these Terms, Varmada grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Beast for personal, non-commercial use on devices you own or control, in accordance with Apple App Store rules and applicable platform terms.
You do not acquire ownership of Beast, its software, design, content, trademarks, source code, assets, or paid features. All rights not expressly granted are reserved by Varmada and its licensors.
5. Accounts and Local Data
Beast may not require a traditional account for core use. Your device may still store local information such as preferences, streaks, daily oath progress, notification settings, saved quote state, widget configuration, generated quote images, and purchase access state.
You are responsible for backing up your device if you want to preserve local data. Varmada is not responsible for loss of local data caused by uninstalling the app, resetting your device, changing devices, operating system behavior, storage cleanup, app updates, or technical failures.
6. Acceptable Use
- Do not use Beast for unlawful, harmful, abusive, fraudulent, or infringing purposes.
- Do not reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, tamper with, or attempt to extract source code except where applicable law gives you a non-waivable right to do so.
- Do not bypass paywalls, entitlement checks, subscription systems, security controls, rate limits, or platform restrictions.
- Do not use Beast to harass, threaten, defame, exploit, or harm any person.
- Do not copy, scrape, resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit Beast content, app assets, generated exports, or premium features except as expressly allowed by the app.
- Do not interfere with Beast, Varmada systems, RevenueCat, Apple services, hosting providers, or other users.
7. Purchases, Subscriptions, Trials, and Paid Features
Beast may offer weekly, monthly, yearly, lifetime, promotional, trial, or other purchase options. Available plans, features, prices, currencies, trial terms, and renewal periods may vary by region, platform, user eligibility, App Store configuration, and time.
In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store and may be managed by RevenueCat for entitlement delivery. By purchasing through Apple, you also agree to Apple payment, subscription, cancellation, renewal, and refund terms.
Auto-renewing subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled before the renewal deadline set by Apple. If you cancel, you generally retain access to paid features until the end of the then-current billing period, unless Apple or applicable law provides otherwise.
Free trials or promotional offers, if available, may convert to paid subscriptions unless canceled before the trial ends. Eligibility for trials and offers is controlled by Apple, RevenueCat configuration, or Varmada, and may be limited.
8. Cancellations, Refunds, and Restoration
- You can manage or cancel App Store subscriptions through Apple ID subscription settings.
- Refund requests for App Store purchases are handled by Apple, not Beast, and are subject to Apple policies.
- Beast may provide restore-purchase functionality that asks RevenueCat and Apple for current entitlement status.
- Loss of access, purchase delay, or entitlement mismatch may occur if Apple, RevenueCat, network connectivity, device state, or App Store services are unavailable or delayed.
- Varmada may change free or paid feature availability, but changes will not override any non-waivable rights you have under applicable law or Apple policies.
9. Notifications, Widgets, and Device Permissions
Beast reminders, notification counts, quiet hours, streak reminders, daily prompts, and widget behavior depend on your settings, your device, operating system permissions, battery state, focus modes, notification delivery rules, Apple platform behavior, and app version.
You are responsible for deciding whether notifications and widgets are appropriate for you. Beast cannot guarantee that a reminder, notification, widget update, streak warning, or quote prompt will be delivered exactly on time or at all.
10. Sharing and Exported Images
Beast may let you copy, save, download, or share quote images. You are responsible for how you use exported images and for ensuring that your use complies with law, platform rules, and third-party rights.
Varmada grants you permission to use quote exports generated by Beast for personal, non-commercial sharing, subject to these Terms. You may not remove attribution, imply endorsement, resell exports, or use Beast assets in a misleading way.
11. Content and Intellectual Property
Beast, including its software, design, visual assets, icons, app name, interface, generated layouts, text collections, databases, and premium features, is owned by Varmada or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.
Some quote text may reflect public-domain, licensed, original, curated, or otherwise sourced material. Beast provides content for personal motivation and app functionality. No rights are granted except the limited use rights described in these Terms.
12. No Professional Advice or Guaranteed Results
Beast provides motivational and productivity-related content. Beast is not medical, psychological, therapeutic, financial, legal, fitness, professional, or emergency advice. The app does not diagnose, treat, cure, prevent, or guarantee any mental, physical, professional, financial, or personal outcome.
You are responsible for your own decisions, actions, routines, device use, health, safety, and reliance on any content. If you need professional advice, contact a qualified professional. If you are in danger or experiencing an emergency, contact emergency services.
13. App Store and Third-Party Services
Apple, RevenueCat, device manufacturers, operating systems, carriers, hosting providers, and other third parties are not responsible for Beast except to the extent their own terms require. Third-party services may change, fail, delay, restrict, or discontinue functionality that Beast depends on.
Your use of Beast may also be subject to Apple Media Services Terms, App Store rules, device terms, RevenueCat terms, and other third-party policies.
14. Changes, Availability, and Updates
- We may update, modify, suspend, discontinue, rename, reprice, limit, or replace Beast or any feature at any time.
- We may add or remove free or paid features, change quote collections, change notification behavior, revise widgets, update paywalls, or alter app design.
- We may release updates that are required for continued operation, security, compatibility, App Store compliance, or purchase functionality.
- Some features may stop working if you do not update Beast or if your device or operating system no longer supports them.
15. Termination
You may stop using Beast at any time. Varmada may suspend or terminate access to Beast, support, paid features, or future updates if you violate these Terms, misuse the app, create legal risk, attempt to bypass purchases or security, or where required by law or platform rules.
Termination does not automatically entitle you to a refund. Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple under Apple policies. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, privacy-related provisions, and dispute-related provisions.
16. Disclaimers
Beast is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent allowed by law, Varmada disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, reliability, and uninterrupted operation.
We do not guarantee that Beast will be error-free, secure, always available, compatible with every device, or that notifications, widgets, purchases, restorations, quote delivery, streak calculations, or exported images will always work perfectly.
17. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Varmada and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, punitive, or lost-profit damages, or for loss of data, goodwill, device functionality, subscriptions, opportunities, or personal results arising from or related to Beast.
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Varmada total liability for all claims related to Beast will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to Varmada for Beast in the twelve months before the claim or one hundred U.S. dollars. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some limits may not apply to you.
18. Indemnity
To the extent allowed by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Varmada and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, licensors, and service providers from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your misuse of Beast, violation of these Terms, violation of law, or infringement of third-party rights.
19. Governing Terms and Disputes
Disputes, governing law, venue, and related legal procedures are governed by the Varmada Terms unless these Beast Terms or applicable law provide a Beast-specific rule. Nothing in these Terms limits non-waivable consumer rights you may have under applicable law.
20. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as Beast changes or as legal, platform, or business requirements change. The updated version will be posted at beast.varmada.com/terms with a new effective date. Continued use of Beast after updated Terms become effective means you accept the updated Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
