1. Scope and Relationship to Varmada
This Privacy Policy explains how Beast handles information in connection with the Beast mobile app, paywall, widgets, notifications, support flows, and the Beast website at beast.varmada.com.
By using Beast, you are also subject to the Varmada Terms at varmada.com/tos and the Varmada Privacy Policy at varmada.com/privacy. This Beast Privacy Policy is supplemental to those Varmada policies and applies specifically to Beast. If this policy is silent on a privacy issue, the Varmada Privacy Policy applies. If there is a conflict, the policy that gives you greater privacy protection will apply unless applicable law requires a different result.
2. Information You Provide or Create
Beast is designed to work without requiring a public profile or social account. Depending on how you use the app, Beast may process information you enter, generate, save, or configure.
- Optional onboarding or personalization details, such as a name or nickname if the app asks for one.
- Quote activity, including viewed quotes, saved or liked quotes, selected categories, feed preferences, and customization choices.
- Daily oath and streak information, including completion state, promised days, active streaks, total active days, and reset state.
- Notification preferences, including whether reminders are enabled, reminder count, reminder timing, quiet hours, notification style, category choices, scheduled notification identifiers, and streak reminder settings.
- Widget preferences, including selected widget style, layout configuration, premium access state, synced quote text, and progress needed to render lock-screen widgets.
- Support messages or contact details you voluntarily send through Varmada support or any linked support channel.
3. Local Device Storage
Most Beast app data is stored locally on your device using platform storage such as AsyncStorage, SQLite, temporary files, and Apple app group storage used by the lock-screen widget. Local data may include quote progress, preferences, widget configuration, scheduled notification IDs, saved quote state, and daily oath progress.
Local data generally remains on your device until you delete it through app settings if available, reset the relevant feature, clear device storage, or uninstall the app. Because local storage is controlled by your device and operating system, uninstalling Beast is the most direct way to remove local app data.
4. Purchases, Subscriptions, and RevenueCat
Beast may offer paid features, subscriptions, lifetime purchases, trials, promotional pricing, or other in-app purchases. Apple processes App Store payments. Beast does not receive or store your payment card number, bank details, or Apple ID password.
Beast uses RevenueCat to manage purchase offerings, purchase status, entitlements, subscription state, restoration, and paywall behavior. RevenueCat may process purchase identifiers, product identifiers, entitlement status, transaction information, app user identifiers generated for purchase management, device and app metadata, and related diagnostics needed to operate purchases.
Refunds, billing disputes, renewal cancellation, payment method changes, and App Store purchase records are generally handled by Apple through Apple ID settings or Apple support. Beast receives only the purchase and entitlement information needed to unlock or restore paid features.
5. Notifications
If you enable notifications, Beast requests notification permission from your device. Beast may schedule quote reminders, daily prompts, night prompts, and streak reminders based on your preferences. Notification content may include quote text, quote category references, streak state, reminder type, and identifiers that help the app open the right screen or cancel scheduled reminders.
You can disable notifications in Beast if the app provides that control, or through your device settings. Your operating system may retain notification permission settings separately from Beast.
6. Widgets and App Extensions
If you use Beast lock-screen widgets, the app may sync limited information to the widget extension so the widget can display properly. This may include selected quote text, quote identifiers, display position, widget style, layout configuration, premium access state, and streak or promise progress.
Widget data is used to render the widget and update timelines. Widget behavior is also subject to Apple platform rules and device settings.
7. Sharing, Photos, Clipboard, and Temporary Files
Beast lets you export quote images. When you copy, save, or share a quote image, the app may generate a temporary image file on your device, copy an image to the clipboard, open the system share sheet, or request photo library permission to save the image.
Beast requests photo library access only for the save/export action that requires it. The app is not designed to browse your full photo library for unrelated purposes. Temporary generated images may be cleaned up by the app or operating system.
8. Website, Server Logs, and Support
When you visit beast.varmada.com, the hosting provider and Varmada may process standard website information such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, referring URL, timestamps, and basic security logs. This information is used to operate, secure, debug, and measure the website.
If you contact support, we may process your message, contact information, device/app context you provide, purchase context you provide, and any follow-up messages needed to respond.
9. How We Use Information

10. Third-Party Services
Beast relies on third-party services only where needed to operate the app, website, purchases, platform features, or support. These services may process information under their own privacy policies and terms.
- Apple and the App Store for app distribution, in-app purchases, subscription management, refunds, device permissions, widgets, notifications, and platform diagnostics.
- RevenueCat for purchase offerings, purchase status, entitlement management, subscription restoration, and purchase-related diagnostics.
- Varmada systems and service providers for website hosting, support, security, and business operations.
- Expo and React Native platform libraries as part of the app runtime and build system; shipped app features still rely on the device operating system and platform APIs.
11. Sharing and Sale of Information
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share local quote, streak, oath, notification, or widget data with third parties for their independent advertising purposes.
We may share information with service providers that help us operate Beast, process purchases, provide support, comply with law, enforce our terms, prevent fraud or abuse, protect rights and safety, or complete a business transaction such as a merger, acquisition, financing, or asset transfer.
12. Retention
- Local app data remains on your device until removed by you, the app, or the operating system.
- Purchase and entitlement records may be retained by Apple, RevenueCat, and Varmada as needed for subscription management, restoration, fraud prevention, support, tax, accounting, and legal compliance.
- Support messages are retained as long as needed to respond, maintain business records, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
- Website logs are retained for a limited period appropriate for security, analytics, debugging, and hosting operations, unless a longer period is required for legal or security reasons.
13. Your Choices and Rights
- You can disable notifications through device settings or supported in-app controls.
- You can control photo library permissions, notification permissions, and other device permissions through your operating system settings.
- You can cancel App Store subscriptions through Apple ID subscription settings.
- You can remove most local Beast data by uninstalling the app.
- Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, or withdrawal of consent for certain personal information.
- To make a privacy request, email support-beast@mail.varmada.com. We may need to verify your request and may be limited where information is stored only locally on your device or controlled by Apple or RevenueCat.
14. Children
Beast is not directed to children under 13. If you are under 13, do not use Beast without permission from a parent or legal guardian. If we learn that we collected personal information from a child in a way that violates applicable law, we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
15. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information we process. No app, device, network, or storage method can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device, Apple ID, device passcode, and any account or subscription credentials you use.
16. International Processing
Varmada, Apple, RevenueCat, hosting providers, and other service providers may process information in the United States, Canada, or other countries where they operate. Those countries may have data protection laws different from where you live.
17. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Beast changes or as legal, platform, or business requirements change. The updated version will be posted at beast.varmada.com/privacy with a new effective date. Material changes may also be communicated in the app or through other reasonable means.
18. Contact
